T.J. Schell, LLC, Landscape Architects has provided design services for several new school projects throughout the metro Atlanta area. Currently under construction, the new North Fulton County High School is located in the City of Johns Creek. T.J. Schell’s scope of work included a tree protection and replacement plan for permitting, a landscape design plan, and an irrigation design plan. The master landscape design plan incorporated a foundation planting plan for the main building, streetscape plantings along State Bridge and Medlock Bridge Roads, entrance landscaping, parking lot tree plantings, and buffer enhancement along the property boundaries. Trees and landscaping were also provided along a segment of the City’s greenway trail that passes through the school site. The landscape plan was designed to achieve the goals of low maintenance and drought tolerance while providing a safe and attractive environment for the students.
